Hi Brian,
I hope you had a great weekend. Pat and I just finished listening to my system with the 6 foot WHALE SUPREME in my system It had about 150 hours of continual play on it prior to our listening session. You were quite correct in your appraisal of the WHALE SUPREME.
It was and is now still sitting between the wall and my Levinson 23.5 power amp. The improvement was terrific! The mid-range and bass improved along with the top end while delivering quite a bit more warmth overall. The musicality and emotional aspects were also enhanced in all types of music we played. Congratulations on moving the quality of sound up another notch on the musical totem pole.
I would like to get the 3 footer you had offered to me if it is still available. Please give me a call Monday or drop me an email and let me know if it is still available.
Best Regards,
Larry H. Miami, FL.

*Follow Up Listening Sessions from Larry 9/28/03.
Hi Brian,
Pat and I just finished a 5 hour listening session that we started around 10:30 AM this morning (Sunday). The results were spectacular. My system has never approached what we heard today with the addition of the Supratek Cortese pre-amp and the 2 Whale Supremes.
The first 6 foot Whale Supreme that you sent on Sept 12th had around 320 hours on it and the newest 3 footer that arrived this past Tuesday the 23rd had 120 hours of constant play at low volume. I am guessing that the 3 footer will still benefit from a few more hours of break-in.
We listened to the system with the 2 whales (the 6 footer in the Levinson 23.50 amp & the 3 footer into the Ensemble Power Link power distributor that feeds everything but the Levinson) and the remaining 5 power cords were Sharks. It was a truly amazing experience.
The sound was just magical - warm, emotional and mesmerizing. We then pulled out the two Whale Supremes and replaced them with 2 Sharks and the sound degraded significantly. The highs were more emphasized (but too bright) at the expense of the mid range which disappeared a bit. The bass was more emphasized, but a bit tubby or boomy, less tuneful and less controlled overall.
Following listening with the 2 Sharks in place, we removed them and replaced the 2 Whale Supremes and the magic re-started. The sound stage expanded significantly from left to right and the depth was dramatically enhanced as well. All of the instruments and voices were much better delineated in their own spaces and were easier to pick out. The mid-ranges were much fuller but without over emphasis and the voices were much richer. The brightness evident with the 2 Sharks in the highs and voices disappeared but there was significantly more detail while the bass lost a little emphasis but got much tighter and tuneful. We heard details and sounds in the recordings that we have listened to literally hundreds of times that were not present until today.
I have to remind you that I have been thrilled with the Sharks up until this point and never found any power cords that rivaled the sound they have provided in my system. The Whale Supremes are just that much better. I consider the Sharks to be the second best I have tried from a long list of cords. After 5 hours of intense comparative listening and another hour on my own I am still listening and have no desire to quit (I will have to go and eat at some point).
Congratulations. I know how hard you have worked to get to this point and you should be extremely proud and happy with what you have accomplished. I will catch up with you soon. I am heading out of town on Tuesday afternoon and will get back next Sunday. Best Regards,

Brian:
I just finished my first listen using the two Whale Supremes on the twin power supplies of my linestage. I must say that although the cords are far from "broken-in", I was very, very impressed. Soundstage was wider, bass was deeper and fuller rich sound. Level of detail and accuracy increased. There was a very natural response in the upper midrange, which smoothed out while listening. Thank you and keep up the great sounding product and design.
Happy Holidays, Brian

2/1/04 "New Generation WHALE SUPREME Critique"
From: Robby C. (Indonesia)
Hi Brian,
Here's testing results on your New Generation Whale Supreme power cable:
1. From my own system:
CD Jadis JD3
Pre amp: Supratek Syriah
Power amp: Graaf GM20 OTL
Speaker: Tannoy Turnberry with Tannoy's super tweeter add on.
Interconnect: Granite Audio 470 from my Jadis to Supratek, Stealth PGS balanced from supratek to Graaf
Speaker cable: Gryphon PSC gold.
Power cable: Harmonix Studio Master for CD, ESP Essence for Supratek and JPS labs Power AC for Graaf.
Power Conditioner; Tice Titan, with upgraded outlet to wattgate, wall outlet also use wattgate.
I replaced my Harmonix Studio master with your cable. This is what I think can get the best comparison, since the studio master is top of the line from Harmonix's power cord, price range also the same. Your cable outperform the Studio Master (SM) , where with Whale Supreme (WS) I can hear better detail, dynamics and intonation of music better compare to Studio Master. I can hear the drummer really beat his drum with all his heart, singer also sings whole heartedly. Whale Supreme is a Wonderful cable. Next comparison with JPS labs power AC cable, also indicate that your cable is better compared to JPS cable in all aspects of harmonic accuracy.
My business partner also confrims this.
2. Second testing is at our listening show room, we use almost the same level equipment, slightly better source unit, we have Sonic Frontiers CD Transport 3 and Audio Analogue DAC. Also your cable perform very admirably. Again we notice that Whale Supremes perform great with source units.
3. Third testing, we brought your cable to one of the biggest high end shop in Jakarta, Indonesia since this shop has all the top equipment, like Clear Audio turntable, Jadis pre amp and amp, and Jadis Speaker that 1 pair cost 40.000 Euro. This shop is also a dealer for Siltech cable and Tara labs. We just happen to know the owner well. Since based on our comparison that your cable performs better on source unit than any other power cable in the world regardless of price. May I remind that all three cables are brand new. Since the price of both competitor is more than 2000 $ that is amazing what the Whale Supreme can do.
4. We came to a conclusion that perhaps your cable New Generation Whale Supreme is best powr cable dollar for dollar. Nothing can compare at this price point.
Secondly, since we are trying to market a new product, eventhough it is a great product, still not many people in Indonesia know about it. New Generation Whale Supreme the best kep secret in Hi-end power cables. Thank you for the wonderful sounding power cable.
I will be ordering many more New Generation Whale Supremes. Keep up the great product designs at Bmi.
Best Regards,
Robby C. (Tangerang, Indonesia)

New Generation BMI WHALE SUPREME Statement Candid Review.
From: James J. -(Balwyn North, Australia)

Hi Brian
I have received the New Generation Whale Supreme cables in excellent condition today and have been playing around with where they sound best in my system. I started off with the amps (lowest level of noise floor and bass reproduction achieved), then
went to source components (great detail retrieval). They have settled feeding from wall power outlet a power filter for my monoblocks, then linking this power filter to the next one for my source components (most musically interactive, entertaining and enjoyable for me as my power filters feed everything in my audio/entertainment system).
It's been 5 hours straight playback now and the BMI Whale Supremes (BMI) is everything that I expected. However, will need more time for the cables to burn-in before I can give you more a more feedback.
At this stage they outperform the MIT Oracle III power cable that I have by about 20 - 30% (go to link and page down):
http://www.mitcables.com/products/products.asp
I would also say at this * preliminary stage * that they match/slightly outperform the Electraglide Genghis Khan power cable. I have a very high resolution sound system (best components and cables that I can find) with JM Lab Utopia speakers and can hear absolutely every minute thing or change in my audio playback chain. The BMI's have done the following to my system so
far:
1. Lowered noise floor (hiss from tube source component).
2. Increased volume, control, depth, tightness, slam and musicality of bass.
3. Increased resolution, transparency and detail retrieval by about 20-30% (also with my Grundig Xentia TV I get excellent even more life-like imaging/presentation of everything displayed).
4. Expanded soundstage is even more 3-Dimensional (width, height, depth, also diagonally!) - bordering on holographic!!
5. Musical timing is more natural and accurate (ie. fast where it should be and truer timing for jazz recordings). Instruments and vocals sound more "live" and clear as if they are in my room.
Truely a reference power cable Brian, you should market it to recording studios and high-end audio stores. When I have more money to spend I'll contact you for 2 more for my monoblocks - this would be the pinnacle of my audio system's performance.
ps. I have left a reciprical super Audiogon feedback for you as well. Audiogon - the best website and place of business in the world!
Thanks Brian, I look forward to your BMI's growing and developing in my system as part of my family!
Will talk to you again hopefully soon,
-James J. (Balwyn North, Australia)

From Robby Chandra (Indonesia)
PS. Just made A/B comparison of Orca Vs Valhalla. Result: Orca is superior in weight, where the mid is really thick, and liquid smooth. To me both are at the same level, only different character. I noticed that Nordost has its own cable burning machine, that they burn they cables before shipping. I'm planning to burn all your next Orcas and compare it again Vs Valhalla.
Thanks, wish you all the best.

Hi Brian,
My (2) Orca's Limited Mk II now have about 200 hours of breakin time and they have really fleshed out and gained bottom end weight. I can now see why you call the Orca the ultimate resolution powerchord as I can hear more detail now than ever before with proper balance and proporation. Your new 50/50 metal mix of copper and platinum on the Orca MK II has given my tube based system the best of both worlds with the pristine clarity of platinum on the mids and highs with excellent weight and balance on the mid-bass and lower. To use a analog analogy the Orca MK II digs deeper into the groves and pulls out more musical information resuting in greater realism with powerfull fast bass (I love that cooper). What is very interesting to me is although the Orca is only 50% platinum it somehow has even greater detail and a more pristine top end than any other powerchord you have manfactured. A true reference piece that is superior to all of your previous designes.
Great Job !
John M. (Huntington Beach, CA)
